lol np, and btw u no in dead rising there are those maniacs? well mebe in the gun shop in between a mission u can add a sidequest to kill a human crazy marine in the gun shop and when u kill him u get a really nice gun or something, or acess to something, i dunno lol.

Regarding the rank system, maybe put some special ranks/honors/medals like:
- killed 100/200/300/400/500 (5 ranks maybe?) zombies in a game -> boosts your damage
- 1000(?) bullet fired in a game -> more ammo when reloading
- survived in an amount of time (since I haven't finished the game, I don't know what's the appropriate time to have the rank) -> adds HP
- 50(?) hits in a game -> adds armor

I kinda like this idea. though raise the "requirements" a little.

Ofcourse this "ranks" will only last the game you get them. That's what I think will be good.

i dont know why more save/load games do not have this included but howbout you make a game cache instead (or u can still keep the save/load code since its a bitch to program) so you dont have to worry about the server crashing and it automatically saves/loads

it takes like 5 seconds and u dont have to worry about encrypting it like you do with save/loads

I'm pretty sure that the game cache in multiplayer games can not be saved and kept for the next game. That mainly works for singleplayer/campaign.
And I know that custom game cache's deleted when shutting down wc3.
It'd be just so easy if Blizzard had included a way to write shit down in a txt file.
Well I could see if I can create a gc to prevent xp loss when a game disconnects you. But when you have a game crash all's lost cause, as I said, caches won't be kept after shutting down warcraft.

thats a good explanation to why other games don't use caches... i spent hours making a map that would have used caches but i never tested it in multiplayer

I dunno if ths could be coded, but something like a spider mine from star craft would be cool. You know the mines that follow the 1st hostile and explode. I think it would be funny times also. " OMG run from that zombie!!! its got a mine after it!" that would be Hilarious.

Another thought. Make use of that generator? make it so it isnt invincible, and that when and if the zombies destroy it. You will lose your mini map. And like make a note to the players. "The Cities Power has been destroyed, all of the cities light posts have shut down. It will have to be repaired" and I dunno make it so that the generator location is pinged red on their mini map. I read earlier that you wanted to get rid of the engi's repair skill. So make it that there are reports of one of the plants engineers still within the city and you have to find him. (Ping the 3 possible locations of where he will spawn or be at. Make it random everytime). That would be just something interesting to have. Adds flavor, and is just a mini mission. Not to mention not having a mini map is scary. Oh and shoot make it so that the players marines have really shortened line of site. Since its pitch black

Thats an awesome idea ! but should be implemented like.. an optional thing, maybe a random mission , to repair the generator, or "refuel" in case that needs fuel, u know.. that kind of thing.. just anything to shut down the lights and have some fun in da dark Very Happy +eyebrows

i hate the sound file for the snipers shot; im not expert but 1 bullet shouldnt make 3 noises

if u want i have a scout sound wave from cs 1.6 that i think fits it nicely but obviously put in what u think fits

I believe cutting away the minimap is impossible. But stop acting like a visionary :0 Repairing the city's power generator is the current mission #2. Getting wax-ed by zombies in total darkness isn't nice at all +shock

Maybe what he meant is the animation that shots 3 bullets instead of 1.

I can't change that also. All animation and model sounds are anchored in the model itself and can't be removed without modifying the model file.

for the Demo's Rockets: make the rockets fire faster as he levels up... cuz a 2 sec timer till it fires is a hell of a long time when you want to shoot a boss or near allies.... like .2 sec per level... and at max level it's 1 sec only...

Ehmm, by the way.. you need to change the ground flares, it doesnt iluminate a sh.. i tried to use one in the mission of the generator, and.. only increased the vision range, but nothing else, no lights at all .. o_o , how about a lantern? just like dead frontier or any other zombie game +smile
Hm.. one more thing, how about a few points to the basic armor? i mean... whats the purpose of having one.. if only reduces damage by 2 % ,

Warcraft's lighting engine is very basic and buggy. There are ways to illuminate, but they're unreliable or only work a very limited number of times. As long as I don't know a more consistent solution, I can't add anything like that Sad
Take a firebat and skill Defense tactics, now get a ballistic vest or spectra armor and you know why even more basic armor is a bad thing Wink

LOL i tried the firebat... it's damned hard to play when it's dark.. you got an extremely small Line Of Sight that makes every enemy pop out of nowhere... but since it pwns so much, i can understand why his LOS becomes so small, no enemy got more than 1 or 2 hits on me ^_^

Still you really wonder who your allies are shooting, you see them shooting, but you can't see their targets....

BTW: i love the changes, the new missions makes the game much more enjoyable and with much less boring times with nothing to do.... too bad it's fairly short... i played about 4-5 games yesterday and i got to the end every single one of them... being overwhelmed by mad waves of zombies ^_^ i think the game is easier for experienced DOTD players... noobs still get pwned...

when someone leave we have is control but we have no vision with his hero can you in next version because it very hard to play with the leaver's hero :/ . another idea why you dont do class for people who have a xp like. specialist an sniper a little bit powerfull who have marskman on zombie and do more dmg or something like that (seriously xp is a little bit useless) it not really give advantage (xp is hard to get and dont give a lot of advantages) or if you have a hero he have more power (knowneldge of zombies u do more dmg on them) when you a lot of xp. For new class i will search some original class (it take a lot of time =) )

Eh Misho, everyone's LOS is that small. But maybe you had an eye damage also? ^.^ Eye damage + darkness = no good =)

Rank might be less useless than you think. Ranks provide you with:
1) those three classes you can't use as a private.
2) small bonuses to life/mana/regen/movespeed.
3) 5 more or less useful abilities. More to come.

You can find the leaver's hero with -tl, btw.

well i had eye damage before.. but it went away after a while... now, after looking at the replay of the game, i see that i never regained my normal LOS i had before the eye damage... so that's a BUG! also i got a TeamKill when i was on the other side of the map in that same game...

yes the very small halo-like is the LOS i had... you'll see that i played with it until the power went back on...
