Lol well it depends on how "close" the NPCs would have to be. If they practically stood above the corpses and then the trigger goes off then yer gonna be butt raped. Very Happy

s3r I was thinking for another sub-mission like the Dog Tags, maybe add "Vials" 10% chance perhaps of them being on the map with the original virus samples in them, you collect them and upload them to your PDA or w/e 5 exp for each one you find as soon as you find it as opposed to the dog tags. because well.. the lab gets your data so I think it should be instant exp as opposed to *find all of them* unless each one has a differant genetic code writting on it and you need all.. lets say 3 to unlock the mysterious data! lol just an idea for more random events

Thanks s3r ^^ also I was wondering if you could possibly on the new map make a building that has an iron linked fence locking it in, put like.. a version of the Mini-gun from 5.2 type of thing on the inside of it (i just realized how much this sounds like RE with the nemisis drop for his rocket launcher) make it a personal weapon for the MG or something but you have to accomplish a certain tast to get it... or maybe not a weapon but something else.. something that will help your team but not GREATLY.. and it only spawns if some random side-quest happens type of idea... just maybe?

how about a bridge mission?
you & your team rescue an engineer(s) in some places
and they repair the bridge while your being attack by zombies
after they repair the bridge thing you can now pass on the other side

I have never intended it to be a bridge lol. It was supposed to be a highway. Well, guess it's too high for a highway, so people think it must be a bridge :0

I have thought of a mission containing that bridge/highway.

an idea similar is that there is a high concentration of zombies coming from a road, and the npcs are slowly blocking the way with barricades, and you and the team have to hold off while there barricading, and the barricade getting further and further in til they cannot pass, then they stop spawning and you finish off the remaining zombies

Idea on the highway, After saving the guy in the Scientist lab.. you should have it were he follows you to the highway to the very top ramp.. and you have to hold off zombies till a helicopter gets there.. and the aliens spawn on the highway just south of the ramp, and to the left and right of it. After you defend them off, the helicopter comes and drops the data pad for you from the scientist and You will have to defend the zombies off again for another 5 minutes?

^ If you like anything from this use it ^ Just an idea for new missions and another good way to have a chain of missions.

hmmm this is bit early but since u gunna hav a mayor in beta 7 i rckn u shud hav two

alternative missions .

one where we just save mayor.

and where he turns into huge zombie boss and we hav to take him down sadly.

Maybe you could make the mayer to actually be the guy behind all the virus thingy and then saving the mayor was actually a trap to get rid of the SRT. After reaching the mayor, he runs opens some trap and zombies start pouring at the team while he runs off. Kinds of make him a later boss to face. Very Happy

thats actually a really good idea.. however if this was the case you would need a few other missions that would NEED to take place afterwards otherwise the story wouldnt make much sence. unless General Thorn ended it with "We will dispatch Alpha and Delta team to persue the Mayor, However..." and then introduce the next mission from there Smile

DotD now features a help system that is similar to the one of battle.net.

You can type "-help" followed by a subject name to get more detailed information about it.

You can also adjust the multiboard to show or hide values that you want to see. For example, if you dislike the health display, simply turn it off Smile

Other players will still see the multiboard as they want to have it, of course.

Now, my question is if there are other things you want the multiboard to be able to display. Such as hero level or mana. Remember that things like a ammo count in the mb would destroy the usefulness of certain abilities (Ammunition Count).
