I'm thinking we might want to just focus on balancing everything a little bit more at this point, character development (as in new classes) and such for a quick release on the next Beta with all the small changes as well as a new class or two... s3r is this a possibility?

so i was running to white today and i saw 4 zombies right next to eachother. It reminded me of an idea i posted before that ill just throw out there again try to have a part where there are a mass of just zombies that flood the main road that are really close together that you just destroy i dont know a bunch of easy zombies to kill just sounds fun to me. it probably cant be done anyway

yeah I like that idea ^^ to expand on it and put my own twist on it, maybe have a police blockade set up with 6-7 riflemen and (perhaps a new sergeant) giving orders and telling the men to fire at will ect. as they get closer to their position Very Happy would be a cool "Defend the Base" mission other than the last area

I've already started working on some additions and ofc I will want to have them finished before I bring out a new version.
I also have plans for one new class for next ver, but I don't focus on it, yet.
It will definately not take as long to release B7 as it did to release B6, though^^

well thats a relief Smile mind you, you fixed a lot of small and rather large bugs and errors in the map, as well as editing difficulty settings, the new mission, civs, NPC's, character abilities, items... ect ect ect.. lol so you really did do a lot from b5 to b6 Smile cant wait to see what b7 has in store lol

or! you have to save them from their cages but after you free the first one they all try and kill you so you have to rescue the others quickly before you die... ofcourse.. you die either way.. so they smart thing to do would be not let them out o.O lol

whoa that picture is small to the extreme...
we can't do anythign about the spawn of items.... being random makes it prone to do that sometimes...

Hey s3r, I was thinking of adding some sound to the beginning of the game, when the difficulty is chosen & everybody loads & picks character classes & whatnot. Specifically, I was thinking of finding a clip of some scary voice saying "DAWN OF THE DEAD" followed by intro music from resident evil, that would create some nice atmosphere. The music doesn't have to be long, maybe just 30 secs or so.

I like this idea quite a bit, it shouldnt make the DL that much longer and it would only effect the size by a small amount. If its possible I think it would be a good idea ^^

i done got sound for war3 for some reason so teh extra downlaod wastes Sad

but i rekon since theres alrdy primary weapons for each class should make secondary weapons for each class or perhaps at teh start there should be starting wepons in each player depending on difficulty like perhaps in normal
Rifleman: recieves m16, jhp, and 4 clips
medic: m16, jhp, med kit, first aid kit, and cpr
in hell mode
rifleman: sof, jhp, 8 clips, spectra armour
etc
since the army never sends in soldiers without being stocked up alrdy

lol pesti and I were making fun of this fact as well.. that and the fact that they send the chemical to kill the plant on a wooden boat.. lol only old school tech. for this military! But I think the issue with giving units gear at the start would be that we might be way too over powered from the very start...

That's quite a sacrafice for some intro music.. unfortunately. Especially because I don't know how many models, icons and skins will be imported in the course of development.

The NPC soldiers are equipped with items because they don't have any skill to equal it out.
On higher difficulties players have to perform better to survive. Starting items will be an exception (e.g. Medic's CPR stack).
I know it isn't very realistic, but finding dozens of weapons, ammunition and medicine on the streets isn't either.

Back on Topic, s3r I know I mentioned this to you earlier but I figured I would get feedback from other people...

What about adding the Flesh Golem as a new mini-boss/regular zombie to the line up? it could kind of be like a Bone Crusher but with less armor considering it looks like bullets would put giant holes through its skin lol

I'm just kind of tired of seeing the same zombies come at us for an hour straight. I think adding some new ones could make it a little bit more challenging and possibly more fun ^^
