what you think of those rules?

I've failed as red a couple times, mainly due to the fact I minimize a lot while in the lobby... so I asked what mode, and didn't see the reply. When I maximized, we were in-game waiting for my choice, so I hit Normal...

I don't understand what the big deal was, where everyone was swearing and griping over that one game...

I think folks need to calm down and remember it's just a game. Also, I will make an effort, as red, to make sure I select the right mode, based on the majority vote (whether in a bot game or self-hosted).

Eh.. It is just a game and really that's all you can do. I tab out most of the time no matter what game I'm playing I don't die that often but maybe that's just because I'm good at it.

Nah it's not hard to become good at it..all you have to know is a good time not to tab is when your on the run/ actually in combat. or you will end up tabbing back in and seeing nothing but a bloody mess

I never Alt+Tab when in-game. Not only because it's impossible for me to time... but I die often enough without being absent for 20-40 seconds. xD

If I alt tab, I will have alot of trouble getting back in, and when I am back in I am probably dead. Go vista.

still.. you load blazingly fast... i just saw you load in 5.48 seconds!
i'm more in the 10-12 seconds range...

and then there is Lime at 45 seconds
man.. with about 650 games, at 45 seconds a game... he spent over 8 hours looking at the loading screen!

My load is usually about average to less than average, generally, from the loads I've seen myself go in. I usually land at about 6 or 7th place, out of 12.

Yea I load at about 10-11 second range. But 5 seconds? that's unreal

if u are playing DOTD and u end up 7th its 7th out of 8 xD hahahah xD

im in the 20 sec range.... and I can alt tab as long as there aint much activity in the game... otherwise it lags up a lil and maybe take like 3-4 secs to tab back, which can be deadly XD

specially since im almost always medic, aint good for the team that medic gets ownt xD

Yea if your a medic you probably shouldn't Alt tab as much

No... I said I land at about half-way/less than half. So out of 8 players, I'd be 4th-6th...

I've never timed my load, as I believe it depends on the map... The next time I play DotD, though, I'll time it.

Yes, it depends heavily on the map.
I'm proud to say that there are not many complex maps which have less loading time than DotD has.

If u would add more custom models that would also make the map loading slower right?

Still... we need some new models !

I find it interesting that you are discussing how the gate looks in dotd in a thread that is supposed to be discussing the new set of rules that mish has put on the use of his bot. =P

Rulez about swap, etc ---> Talked bout failing in red position or alt tab ---> Talked about loading screen and load times ---> Load times made ppl talk about custom models and how that affects the overral game ---> Talked bout the gates in DOTD.
