[SC2] A nice read
Sun 30 May 2010, 20:46
Somebody on Teamliquid created a small timeline with events involving Blizzard Entertainment, Activision Blizzard, Activision and Viviendi.
And my new all-time favorite antagonist: Robert A. Kotick
Link
A nice read on how things go down the drain.

Thanks for that read. I have just decided not to purchase any Activision games anymore. Including SC2.

I feel as though Activision is helping Blizzard with assisted suicide

Not exactly. That's a part of the topic.Eulogy wrote:I didn't read it but is that the interview where the guy basically just says no more chat rooms no more mixed servers ect.?
It's a timeline of Blizzard's activities since they've been merged with Activision some couple of years ago.
To sum it up:
Since Activision got into the boat more and more pay-to-use content has been added, especially to WoW. Activision is exploiting developer studios and aiming for the money with all available means:
The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games.
Well, I didn't buy many of Activision's games anyway, since they don't have many good series left. But from now on everytime I see a nice Activision game that might be worth playing I'll go ahead and pirate it.
