I dont know where to post this so.. yeah.. I few questions I have and I just started on this game.

1. Is there any way to check my current movespeed?
2. Does holding items reduce my movespeed? What about clips that I have in my belt?
3. Does team-killing affect my rank exp or anything else?
4. Is there no way to pass items from the scout's bag to his main inventory except putting the item on the ground, closing the bag and picking it up again?

Thats all I could think of for now. Will post more if I think of more.

And some suggestions I have.

1. A -cam command to control the camera distance. A find it quite hard to pass item to another unit which is such small. Also less strains on the eye after playing for too long.
2. Supplies problem. Often I have games where my ammunition runs dry or medical supply is finished. Mostly due to the fact that we have no time to recon because we are constantly being ambushed by garg/plants and we keep rushing for the mission objectives.
3. A shorter game mode, maybe with a faster paced game. Like how -sm works in NotDA. Less time, same amount of zombies.
4. Slower gargs. A lone marine with Sprint on cooldown = Food for garg. Often it is too dangerous for recon class to go out alone, which really beats the purpose or recon classes?

1) The "-mystats" command shows your movespeed.
2) Nope, nothing reduces your movespeed.
3) Nope, but you will go to hell for teamkilling when you're dead Sad
4) Not yet.

As for your suggestions:

1) Already added for next version.
2) Next beta will have a little more ammo on Hell mode and will be less difficult.
3) I'm considering that.
4) Gargs will be easier. It was kind of an accident that they became this powerful.

in theory, only 2 medals can be earned....
one is given by s3rius himself for helping him in the devlopment of the map...

the other, you need to reinstall warcraft 3, apply the older patch 1.23, find buddies to play one of the very early betas (beta 1 or beta 2) and earn at least 4000xp... then you get in beta 3, 4 or 5 and load your code with -load2 and you'll get veterancy medal...

not really easily doable... but if somebody dares doing it, he's both crazy and awesome Razz
4000xp back in the days is worth about 20 000xp in the newer versions...

i lost mah veterancy medal when i lost my old code...it was on b4 or b5 Sad meee saaad naoo

its so unfair cos i play it so long -.-

also u can hack and get all medals Twisted Evil i remember one random guy: 60k exp all medals and play normal all the time ...it was like wtf

lol yeah, the best way to find out if a guy hacked his medals is to see if he has more than 2...

even 2 medals... the number of legit people who got 2 is like... 6 to 8 if i remember well...

ive got a question, how can me and 2 of my friends survive for 4 hours on hell leeching kill experience just by using 1 medic 1 machine gunner and me as engineer camped in that fence near the bottom left producing ammo for the MG then all putting safety on while my sentry holds for a while so he can collect more ammo then when he reloads we take off safeties and i cover with my clip then with my filled shotgun and mac-10 :s

easiest 1000+ experience ever XD we just did mission 1 and camped there till we hit level 22 - 23 then started mission 2

we started as 8 guys then we ended up with 4 of us at end of mission 1
then me and my 2 friends lived till we got to the fence and the other guy died Very Happy

i love s3rius for giving me mana steal my first response was, "engi sappin my medic"
few hours later when doing mission 2 we came across a barrel and thats when i first ever seen the sandvich Very Happy made my day/night ^_^

with an hour-long game, you can get about 500xp with a competent team... 2 of those and you got the same amount of xp that you got in half the time and you would probably learn more stuff than you did camping...

Camping does seem to defeat the purpose of a mission based game. Though I suppose you don't have to worry about your team splitting apart every 20 seconds to get items. Which seems to happen in EVERY game on East.

ive only used camping for 2 reasons, the first being to grind experience. i usually do this after the lab mission you just hold the data pad and don't use it, it lets a group of your camp and grind and even lets scouts go out and get items. i mainly do this so new players can rank up a bit and use mg and engi. The second reason is to camp after the end of the first mission and let someone (usually me) solo the 2nd mission, the zombies attack the group and i only have to deal with a few zombies, meanwhile the rest of the group level up a bit. this lets you get to the 3rd mission with most people still alive, as long as you have an experienced player in charge of the campers, seeing most players who join are newbies.

when does v8 finaly release?

u release versions once a year and make dotd boring Sad?
also reset scores when game finaly done whould be nice one:p

i think when u finish this game it's 2015 if it goes this fast

Be happy you get anything at all. Do you know how much work is needed to be put down to make an advanced map like DOTD6... probably not. Do you think s3rius want to spend like 5hours a day programming his map? I think not. Unlike other mapcreators(not mentioning any names) s3rius actualy got friends(Not sure on this one though) and a LIFE(Ever heard of that).

I have so much had enough of these people who think that making a map is a simple task. If
you can't make an equally good map then you shouldn't comment about when something's going to be realeased.

DOTD 6.0 is a year and a half old... it's updated more often than every year otherwise we'd be on beta 2, not beta 7

why should everyone be penalised when he finishes the main storyline? it takes a hell of a lot of time to get to the max leve, why should they get punched in the face for playing a lot and needing to play it all over again?

unhappy? make a map this complex on your own and release faster than him with removing bugs and adding stuff... and release everyday... goodluck..

Beta 7b is almost 5 months old now.
I admit that's a long time without update, but it's no use to work on it without the right motivation which would only be a pain for both you and me (since low motivation = low quality).

You also underestimate how time consuming it's actually is. Games are usually made by a group of dozens of people - I am making this mod alone.
