a nasty BUG!!

another bug..

hey guys.. im new here n i got to say.. i dont really play warcraft very often, but im a great fan of dotd

now the bug: whenever i play dotd with my friends on a LAN, there is this one bug, which always occures with one of my friends.
When he saves his level, he always gets an invalid code! its just much to short! its like xxxx-xxxxxxx

its always the same guy who has this problem, although ive got to say, that i had the same problem some months ago.. i dont know y, but most of the time i get valid codes now.. but sometimes my codes rnt working either.. although they have the right format..

My friend alway has this problem, no matter which version of the map or wether he plays alone or with us...

i just wanted to know, if u already heard of this bug, and if there´s a method to fix it!

Yeah I've gotten several invalid codes from saving myself, but not all the time. But I don't know why this happens.

oh... hm i have also no experience with lan games - and i also cant look the triggers cz the maps are protected =/

but do you use the same player-name when you play dotd on lan? i could imagine this could indeed causing troubles with the triggers...

yep the codes see which name has saved so no other name/acoount can use this code.

Look in the save/load system i posted...It's the same there.

its jsut, taht my friend, no matter if he plays wid us or alone, doesnt get any codes which will work!

he doesnt get codes which are like xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx, but coedes which look like this xxxx-xxxxxxx

n i just cant imagine how this can happen.. he even reinstalled the whole game and we were trying several versions of the dotd map!

i heard that sometimes special signs within a name cause problems with the saving code (the trigger converts every sign into a code)... doh, would be easier to tell if i could see the triggers

but maybe that could be the reason?

Ye i just suggest you use the same names as in battle.net and try it again

ah thanks for the help! ill try the thing with the name! cuz i think my friend uses indeed very strange names xD
