Magic: The Gathering

Was just wondering if anyone else off you plays/played this wonderful game?

Never played. But I heard from people that do play that it's great

yeah i have played the trading card and XBOX versions of the game .... haven't played for a while though....

My favorite deck was red deck/orc/dragons/fire ( im sure you know what i mean) i wasn't very good but i played for the love of the game.

Me and my brother and friends used to play with 20 life and a deck of 40 or 60 ( i cant remember rofl)

Hmm... 20 life and 60 cards in a deck was the standard for "real" card games. Dunno if it was different for the video/computer game versions. And yes, I played it, like 8-9 years back, talk about a blast from the past. My deck back then was mainly a none colour artifact deck, with only a few blue counterspells. It worked fairly well if I may say so myself, with strong artifact creatures, useful artifacts for boost and other effects, and an abundance of mana (3 of my mana cards would give me 7 mana, and I had lots of them)

After placing my cards inside a drawer and forgotten all about them for about 6-7 years, I one day saw a classmate in my univ play Magic too. That's when I found out that since my old days, a lot of new cards have been made and there are now a lot of destroy all artifacts cards around. So I guess if I would try to play with my deck now, I'd be dead quite fast

Ye I played it for a few years [card-game] and really enjoyed it, but they exaggerated the special effects the last years imo.

I have played without stopping for around 6 years now, so I am a relly big Magic nerd. I got a bunch of decks and I play tournaments a little now and then with mixed results. If anyone is intrested, there is a program called Magic Workstation which allows you to play for free over the internet.

And there is a few artifct decks that kicks ass. One is called Affinity and is an aggro deck that is cheap and fast as hell. There are also some more expensive ones that are more controling that are called Stax.

ya. im playing it till today, but only the old decks, since edition 8 its shit.
i play with my friends with the old decks and that still kicks ass
