Dota CLan Games.

I'm starting this thread to see if other clanmates were interested in the idea of getting some clan dota matches going. There are enough people in the clan now to fill a whole game, or just the sent/scourge and wait for the other team. I've heard a lot of talk in the clan lobby of trying to set up other games, and this is would be a way to get it going. Would anyone else be interested? We also need people who can host because I'm to stupid to figure it out myself haha. If you have vent that would also be fun as f@#$. If your interested or have something you'd like to add post it!!

I just don't get this massiv disatraction against dota, is it just because everyone playes it? It's a well coded game with a huge var. of heroes, items, modes and spells, and it's also funny to play it on lan-parties or such.

Well, I did change my opinion on the "well coded game" from True to False. Some people, who had insight in the map's code told me that it wasn't that much well coded at all. Though it works. That's what's counting in the end.

I don't like the fact that 70% of all games hosted are DotA, basically pushing all competition out of it's way. I also don't like the huge number of idiots, whiners and wanna-be pros that are in most games.

It is quite nice when played with a team of people that you know, and if you happen to have a team of enemies who Don't leave/lag out/rage quit after the first blood.

True, but that doesn't have much to do with the game itself, does it?

does that mean that if we play WC3, we are obligated to like DOTA?
then i guess i'll be forced to quit WC3 because i hate DOTA....

heh? I never said that, but the only reason people give is "dota sucks". If you don't like the way the terrain appears or the heroes are modified, thats something different.

i don't like how the game is played and how you can'T do shit if you don't know the "ultimate" build for your hero....

also i hate the community of "haha you're not 1337 enough to win over us! i can pwzor you in a 5 on 1!" then quit because he died once...

hm The thing is if you hate DotA then it becomes apparent that you have never really givin it a try and never plan 2 because you cant play it... cause you never tried .. circle lol anyway it takes NO skill to be good at DotA and I love it for that.. also there is no set "build order" for heroes.. people decide that some are better than others just due to match up ect. and what works most of the time...

There was an attempt to eliminate all what s3rius complained about with a free league hosted by private people. Each game you win you gain points, which eventually allow you to play higher skilled games. Called Div-League is i'm not mistaken. 2 Bad its disappeared after 1.24 patch. (P.S Was highly popular on northrend, dunno if it was on azeroth).

I played a few league games too, was pretty fun through.
