Yah this happened many times when i hosted DotD ppl wanted more and asked me if they can friend list me and i told them that i would host every nite.Eulogy wrote:Very true... or because the host kicks them as soon as they die lol
But still, if your nice to them at the start chances are they will ask if there is any way for them to come back... most do anyway

if im alone i just pick off the quick ones and leave the slow ones and run away, and maybe if i have time i will stop to finish off the slow ones, and continue with my trek =)

Thats actually a good idea Tangax for Normal and Nightmare. Find friendly units and take care of the slow ones together..
The only problem with this is you could end up with a swarm after you or in the case of Hell mode.. the "slow" ones move almost as fast as you do and in come cases they move faster >.<

One bad thing about running from a slow enemy is that you're faced with some other enemies in the opposite direction. So instead of running you have to shoot, and that alone is enough for the slow enemy you were trying to outrun reach you. Happens alot to those who trek solo.

True, not to mention the exp you dont gain if you dont kill the slow moving one. If your running out of ammo I believe ignoring the slow ones is smart otherwise its not really a viable option... Happy Hunting lol

For Nightmare and Hell it's viable to always target the weak, fast ones. With sprint and good micro you can get past most slow enemies without getting hit.

The Real problem to this tatic is that u might have to reload and that just messed things up

well not really, if your a high enough rank you have your combat knife which after 2-3 hits on almost every enemy at the start will kill them so you dance around them cutting them while they miss you over and over again lol

exactly, another good tactic is to stay out of the alley ways and just take the long way around =/ you never know what items are on the street anyway ^^

Well, I read everyone's posts here.. and some harsh things lol... Anyways thanks for the tip about covering your teamates... mabye if we ever play a game together in hard mode I can cover you the right way instead of running off selflishly like most people do.. Thank you, and good luck with this thread (:

Hmm, ironically enough I found the exact opposite to be more beneficial. I try to run down alleyways as much as possible- I find the roads to be too frequented with baddies to make it worth my while. Of course, when multiple enemies DO show up, you're in trouble!

you can almost three or 4 man nightmare with that tactic as long as you have a sniper and a assman
(other two clases would be medic and demo or engi maybe)
but it works, its how me and mark used to play lol, one runs, other shoots then other shoots and the other runs and we finished the game many a time =P

yup Leapfrogging saves your life

Yeah. The only issue with only having 3-4 people is that as soon as 2 of you reload at once, if a few Red Butchers or dogs are coming at you and your lacking firepower you are almost forced to seperate for a moment.
But yes with a Full group, the lead members firing back untill the MG's normally catch up is a great way to stay alive in the streets

firebat? when i'm firebat, i'm usually the one going back for them to survive.... saving the ones too much behind and guetting overpowered while being killed like noobs.... napalm makes him very powerful against lines of zombies taking the same path towards a running group of people ... then you use fire wave and you're home free to run with the group....DarkSath wrote:yeah , hate when MG or FB is tanking all zombies on the back ... that makes the full squad slower

Hahahaha well, depends if you need cover from the back, fbat sometimes has to move in to save a slow unit. I mean actual players are more important than the civs. lol But in general yeah Sath you are right
