A little Quiz.
Tue 27 May 2008, 23:10
Try to solve this one. I don't know where the coin went. ^^
"Three men were walking along a road and they needed to sleep. They saw
a farm and they asked if they could sleep there. The farmer said that
they can sleep in the barn for 10 coins each. And the day after they
left. But the Farmer felt like he had taken to much from them so he
said to his helper to give them 5 coins back. But the helper though
"You can't divide 5 on 3" so he took 2 of the coins. and gave the men
back 1 coin each. SO they had paid 9 coins each, thats 27 right. and
the helper had 2. Where did the last coin go."

The actual price is 25 coins (30 - 5)
Well you then have to divide that but 3 rather than dividing the 30 coins by 3.
25 / 3 = 8.33333
This is what each man paid.
Then add 1 coin to each amount.
8.33333 + 1 = 9.333333333
Multiply by 3.
9.33333333 * 3 = 27.999999
Now add the 2 bucks that the helper kept for himself.
27.9999 + 2 =329.999999
And the last bit that is left is due to mathematical unaccuracy ^^ The trick is that the focuses lies on the total of 30 coins instead of the 25 which is the actual price.

Well it's made to trick the mind. And it works on people most times. They are like "Wtf bug with the world" xD
Btw 27.9999 + 2 = 39.999999 is not true.
27.9999 + 2 = 29.999999 =true ^^

An error in the matrix +shock yea it's confusing - where the hell is that goddamn coin! Hm, you could get 30 cents and re-construct it ^^

Hum... the question itself is a bug!
What last coin? You can't just subtract multiply the numbers randomly. The 27 is just a fictive number what all of them together have lost. In the end just a mathematic "glitch", but not a real one, yes.
+^^
By the way, I got my computer now, with a little delay but I got it. Hooray! I'm now installing all the stuff.

Sparing with words today, s3rious? ^_^ But bad to hear, Lis. I'd have turned insane if my new didn't work now! @_@
Well, all the basic stuff is now installed, WCIII CSS and PS CS3 will follow. downloading Gears of War right now as well.
But I just realized one thing: I haven't considered this processor is on 64bit (Athlon X2 DC 5200+) that I can't use with WinXP. I guess there is no 64bit version of XP available?
+sad

Not too bright.

Hm... at least such a version is available. After some quick research, I see driver issues rising though... probably I'll just live with it and later update directly to Vista. I'm happy everything is running quite fine now - I'm tired of all that setup programs and progress bars.

Reeves Random Riddles
The ninth riddle it is. But that is only the question itself, not an answer.

I think here would be a better way to make the calculation.
After returning 5 coins, the farmer has 25 coins left. (25)
Considering that each man received one coin in return, they all had 3 coins. (3)
And the last 2 are with the helper. (2)
So 25 + 3 + 2 = 30.
