[MOVIE] 28 weeks later...
Mon 28 Jan 2008, 20:47
Have you seen the film already? well, havent seen it in the cinema so i just watched it on dvd yesterday. and i have to say it was a great zombie film. more brutal and bloody than the first part in my eyes and it deserves the label "splatter movie" for sure. ill proof with some screenies below. also faster zombies and more shock-effects than in DotD - i think this is my new favourite in this genre. worth looking it and i can really recommend it.
besides that it had an interesting and quite authentic story - check wiki [here] if you want to read more.
Some Youtube feeds:
[Trailer]
[Opening Scene]
-Heck i once found a really good zombie funclip, and i think it was from 28 weeks as well... dont find it anymore!
[HowTo: Create a helicopter massacre]
[HowTo: Run Away from a raging mob]
Screenies:
Hah, the most realistic scene in the whole film: zombies vs. helicopter! @_@
This fits nicely with my imagination of the Sweeper unit for DotDS - our new flamethrower:

Yeah I saw this movie quite a while ago prolly like 2 months ago on dvd. I liked it hell a lot. In fact I like both movies, though I think I would say that fist one is a bit better( better acting by the actors)

Yes, the scene with the contamination flamethrower teams was really cool ^^.
Well, 28 weeks later is better than 28 days later, still my favorite is DotD and SotD ^^

the two kids didnt made it too well, admittedly. they didnt seem to be really scared during the whole movie... if you consider their situation. Don, one of the main characters made a better zombie than human
true, Shaun of the dead was a brilliant parody! yet, i havent found a better one as well DotD is great but on 28weeks (and 28 days already) much more action is present as for example the virus infects and changes peoples within seconds!
and im looking forward to the third part - 28 months later in 2008 or 2009...

Flight of the living dead is a nearly brand new film, though it is the worst piece of shit (Mind the language) I have ever seen. I advise you to never watch it, the effcts are somewhat from the 80s. It is really so bad.
EDIT: Oh, and I guess I might be back.

I saw I am Legend, it's not really a Zombie film.

ye, mutants, i heard so far and more like an action movie. and most of the films with Will Smith turned out very well, so i must watch it somewhen.
thanks for confirming that - i thought so already ^^ . it sounds like another bad low-budget film that isnt worth paying for...
great to hear!

Oh, are they actually making one? I thought the rumors were just some kidding about it.
yes, they are doing a trilogy, according to the english wiki:
In March 2007, Boyle announced plans to create a third chapter of the film franchise, which will be given the title 28 Months Later with a 2009 release date, thus creating a trilogy. Boyle has stated that his thoughts are to set the movie in Russia.
In June 2007, it was announced that if DVD sales of the film did well Fox Atomic would consider producing the third film. In July 2007, while promoting the film Sunshine, Boyle revealed that he has a story formulating for the next film "There is an idea for the next one, something which would move [the story] on. I've got to think about it, whether it's right or not." Boyle also revealed that he would return as the director. Alex Garland might be considered in writing the story with Boyle, but no announcements have been made.
besides that, here are some short films for 28 weeks...

It gets really intense, S3rious can you put this on the Dotd ending soundtrack? or middle w.e
