possible flash header?!
Fri 04 Jan 2008, 21:02
i'm introducing myself into basic flash currently, and i wanted to try a new flash header. basic layout done today, but the writing is not final as i wanted to add it in flash to animate it. i will focus on having a nice, clean and fast to load header and navbar-menu that allows much more dynamic edits in future.
if it turns out well, i'm considering to replace the middle-menu in the portal with a flash counterpart as well. tell me your thoughts about that idea! =)

exact my thoughts. basically i just wanted a decent mouseover effect for the navbar-buttons and eventually a dropdown menu for the buttons where its necessary. i'd like to keep it simple, clean and fast.

Uiiii, looks nice.
Is it also possible to adapt the forum background to the style of the new flash header once it's finished?

yes, could be possible. good idea in my eyes, ill give it a shot!
though, im having a small problem with the flash header currently. i have tested it and when i click a button with an url-action, Firefox gives me a warning that this is an unsecure action. i'd like to avoid this, as i of course do not want anyone clicking such a message away each time clicking on a link.
but it must be possible somehow, i have seen swf files with url that dont show this message. but i dont know how >_<

I agree. Not that the current background is ugly or anything but it would be fresh with a new one.
