DOTD 5.2f cheating . . .

Well , i dunt like cheat things and illegitim account lvls .. but
a cheat which is working :
examle if u have a account lvl 140 ....
1 create a game with your lvl 140
2 load level and save the game
3 open the game saved with another name
4 save your new character .. he is now lvl 140 -.-
damned cheat ... i think i know how to counter that in dotd stars...
i decided to try
PLAYER name and code
SBS-Operative
-load RURLQUX-OOOOOTR

you can include the savers player in the code of course. i made on my old map that i dropped - resident evil kind - a save system that detects if the saver was the same as the current loaders name muhaha!!
but i duno if the rest of the save/load system is well secured... although the code length that was given to the player was also like xxxxxx-xxxxxxx
i think i have the code somewhere saved... i can send you if you need some inspiration

at map initialization i store player name in vars "original name"
and i will use it for saving.
so i think that if u load a savedgame it cant work for saving another account ;as value were stored at init. it will return the code for "original name" and no for current player name
I think that can blok this issue..
anyway ,do you know a way to make saved game crashing ?
as this , no more cheat from that security hole

well, saving isnt possible at multiplayer games? is that right?
if yes, then i have already a cheat-block against that cheat. i just dont allow a game on single-player. if there is only one player playing, it will defeat you (although, remember me that i make it check if someone entered just some computer players...) ;)
and the name has to be in the code anyway. otherwise you could just enter a random code and you will get a value... ^^

its possible to savegame in multiplayer and load it with/out players.
ex: if u save a game with 3 guys and load it alone , u can start and it said : player left , player left , player left ... and then u are alone and can save your new name account.

hm... thats bad... then we need a good way go code the players name...
