DotD not working on Mac

Me and my friend tried to Lan today, but we just didn'nt manage. He got 99%, but (a *** ain't one) then his computer (MacBook) just froze. Same thing when he clicked to join a game after he had the map via usb stick on the computer, when he tried to host it. We could play games together like Uther Party etc, but just DotD didn't work. We tried b8 and b7. Neither did work. Blarg, is it easily possible to fix this thing with a b8c version before b9 is released (if it ever comes?)?

Yes, Blizzard didn't ensure 100% compatibility with Wc3 maps and Mac.
I knew of this problem, but I couldn't find enough info (and not enough test data - I don't know anyone with a Mac) to fix the problem.

Crap. Other maps work properly, just dotd doesn't, as if the game knew what we wanted to play...

That's because most maps are made with only GUI or very simple Jass.
There's only a few things (to my knowledge) that make Macs crash, but there usually was no way around them to get what I wanted.

I don't even remember what exactly broke Macs..
