DotD S.T.A.R.S - Game Rules (EvilPlayerList)

ok here are some rules for good DotD players as more and more ppl complain about bad behavior in DotD games:

there are many reasons people kill their own team: they want gain extra-xp, they call other, unexperienced players noobs because they dont know the game yet or just for fun... but no matter for what reason you do teamkilling, its never the best solution - especially not for a player that would call himself a pro-player...

- If there are newbs in your game, try to tell them the basics - tell them its important that they listen to higher xp-people, or you will loose. also, if they may do a mistake like bombing your barricades accidently, be forbearing and maybe remember those times, you made those mistakes yourself when you started DotD... you also always can link them to this site, so they can learn about the map...

- If they dont listen, remember there can be also another reason, those that he maybe cant understand you...

- If there is really a permanent teamkiller in your game, you can kick him with "-boot (color)" - well, at least if you are the red player...

- Dont abuse xp-gathering with giving experienced player control over your unit with the excuse of being afk to let this ppl gather xp for you. the point is that you should gain xp yourself to learn how to play the map. being only afk is not the violation of course. there are just some people that give others control for some time then they come back, save and quit the game.

- Try to play as a team - like the map was made for - dont be selfish, some items are needed by a special sort of marine (e.g. marine needs gatling gun as he has the highest damage). if some players - especially higher levels) tell you to drop an item, its in most cases not, because they just want your item - its because this item maybe has a better use for the team if someone else carries it...

- Remember if you are dead and you are going to leave, share your remaining ressources... btw remember also to share ressources if you are not dead and you have much... dont be selfish with that - if one teammember cant shoot anymore, its a bad thing for the whole team... if you are going to run short with your ammo, give more ammo to the damage dealers of your team, like marine, grunt or operative. medic and engineer need then less ammo...

- Important: with whatever person you play, keep in mind that you always should play fair!!!

- Last rule is: remember its only a game you should have fun with

In following everyone can post bad players that violated the rules or that behaved evil in some other ways... that wont be a banlist, but more a help for hosts...

if you want to post, post his NICK, his GATEWAY (northrend etc...) and WHAT he has done - all other posts will be removed/replaced

we found our first person for the list - being proud of killing newbs isnt the best attitude...

he Killed the whole team with satchels, he tryed to kill me , i killed him first ( he was level 90 ).

Yea, I know Pa-Ko too Im not sure but i think hes on Northrend too.

His actions: I played with him several times. Sooner or later he always runs amok and kills everyone (until i find him ). After hes dead he starts to insult the left alive people.

one of the most insidious player i met so far... (i watched the replay)
when the first fatty arrived and all ppl went out for searching he followed a team-member who had the minigun over about 5 minutes just to find the perfect place to kill him. he fired a granade and then shot him to death and took his minigun.

of course i didnt see and in the following trouble it was even harder to say if anyone teamkilled... so i didnt punish him - as more as brother-lynch sayed all the time he was innocent...

after some waves im sure it was also him who took the unit from a left player and killed another member - what a big ass!!!

well, scythelord (who was killed by this idiot first) sry that i didnt believe u first in that trouble...

if u see this player in a dotd game - do the only reasonable thing: KICK!!!!

btw, dont post ppl for the banlist, if u just dont like them, but more if they act like a teamkiller or selfish or whatever... ah... u know...

Attacked Team Engineer (it was me, as everyone was level 1 or 15+ ) and finally died when I had 30 hp.

next time pls add the gateway (northrend, us east, etc...) too, as they can be totally different ppl on the other servers, thx

i think the best solution its the ip ban XD

yes... unfortunately we cant prevent them to make a new account... whatever if they appear again in a bad behavior they are again on this list. =/

although im not a fan of permanent bans - furthermore most people have multiple IP's that makes it even more difficult. well, in the end its not within our power to keep those idiots permanent out of our games, hehe xD

anyway, plz dont use this thread for discussion. this was and is a thread to list "evil" people.

your discussion about the permanent ban and if its useful or not is very welcome for example in the "dos open bar" or any other fitting section ^^

sometimes the host dies then quits straight away leaving us disconnected and our exp lost. should we post this kind of ppl as well?

hm... that hard to say... mostly the host himself got disconnected and with no bad intention... but if you have the feeling that he does that on purpose, then you can write him down here.

Red-David1 Is a total cheater, hacker etc. He was giving out codes.
Random guy: "David har du en kod till mig" Translates to "David do you a code for me?"

It is really easy to cheat if you know how, atleast on the older versions. I hope s3rius puts up some sort of block if people gain to much exp to fast.

Hacking codes is quite a bit harder now. Additional anti cheat systems are not included yet, but may be when I adjust the final save system.
Against the real hackers, though, I have no chances. Hacking a map is a lot easier than protecting it.

Protecting is easy...protecting it hacker-safe is indeed very difficult^^
