World War Z is one of my favorite books, I just hope the movie will be as enjoyable as the book. If not... Ugh... thanks director.

I haven't read the book itself, but I have the audio book and listened to it a couple of times. I'm pretty sure that it's the same content, with nothing added and nothing removed.
It's a story about a reporter who gathers information about the big zombie world war that happened in the near past (about a decade after it was over). He's talking to witnesses, after action reports, etc.
The stories don't have any connection to each other and are in no particular chronological order (though the first story is chronologically the first, too).
But there is a beautify variety of stories, each read with a different voice (if you hear the audio book). There are stories about police officers, pilots, military men, proffessors, african natives, a member of the east-German self defense force, hired bodyguards, an ex-Samurai and some others I don't remember.
Some talk about their own experiences during the war, some about their life in isolated areas to survive, some about the life shortly after the zombie flood was overcome, some about how the government acted, and so on.
It's much more entertaining than the Zombie Survival Guide, though less informative (is there anything more informative than the ZSG?^^)

The audio book should be an exact copy of the literary version. Word for word.
But yes, in my opinion, it's an excellent book. I was almost infatuated with it at one point.
