(request) I need Icons

i downloaded the dawn of the dead map but it thosent work please help me i dont know what to do:?:

do you want to edit the map with WE? cz you asked this question in the WE-section...

in case you meant that, i can tell you that the maps are protected of course ;)

or you only want to play it on bnet?

If you downloaded it, did you put it in the right place?

what btw is: "yourwarcraftfolder\maps\downloads" by default...

oki thanks one other thing im making a campaign and i need to know were can i get the pictures of the items and the abilities thats in the dawn of the dead map?

i doubt there is an unprotected version anywhere outta there... but mb some icons may also be hosted at wc3sear.ch?!

another thing: if you have some additional problems with your map, open an extra thread with a valid name of your project. there you can ask about every problem appearing with your map project, discuss about contents of it and mb even post some screens or post info about your progress if u want ;)

oh btw, probably sath has still some of the icons that appear here at the
forum... ill wait for him speaking up (sath, should i write it in
'bold' so that you dont overlook it and reply one month later? muhaha! sry m8 )

i am kind of new just so you know

open the world editor the use the import editor and choose them from your folder

you have to press F12 to go to the Import Manager. There is a button where you can import your icons.

once imported you have to give them a custom path. double click on them and check the box "use custom path".

choose this path for the normal icons:
ReplaceableTexturesCommandButtonsBTNname.tga

and choose this path for the disabled ones:
ReplaceableTexturesPassiveButtonsPASBTNname.tga

i tried that and it dident work do i need to restart the world editor?

you have to use the custom path. otherwise it wont work.

but my problem is that it is only 1 file and not more how do i un pack them?

you mean how to unpack a .rar archive? google for WinRAR and download it. then you can unpack the icons inside the .rar archive

ahh yea forgot that path thingy....damn if you stop working on we often you forget some things...

Custom Campaigns usually are just regular wc3. No imported, rigged stuff.

those some body else have any other icon that can be used for a zombie suvival map.

oki i have looked throu all the icons i found some good but most just sucked isent there any one that got som cool modern like icons?

i dont know more than those on wc3sear.ch as well...
