Hmmm cheese is anything but useless! In NM when your on your own finding 1-2 bits of cheese keeps you at full hp, even on norm its nice for an extra 50hp after you used both of them.. I like sath's idea of a current Resistance % when you type in -mystats though... kind of like the move speed counter Smile

what could implemented with a -mystats event

experience points ( no comments )
health points ( no comments )
move speed ( no comments )
hits count ( no comments )
poison count ( each time you have been poisoned -> integer +1 )
poison resistance ( each time you have used antivirus -> integer +1 )
fractures count ( each time you have been badly hit -> integer +1 )
fracture resistance ( each time you have eat cheese [calcium food] -> integer +1 )
kills number ( no comments )

I m sure there are a few other variables that could be added Smile



An other thing i wanted ask .. its when a player call bfcontrol action like medivac or else ... a string that say something like this:

" Major player blah blah , has resquested Medivac support "

so we can know who's the moron that wasted the mana of the support Smile

Unfortunately that is not possible. The Battlefield Terminal is a unit owned by a neutral player which the players have shared unit control to. That means that all casted abilities are also casted by that neutral player, no matter who activated it.
The problem lies within the shared ability cooldowns..

I don't think the cool downs are that big of a deal.. I mean think about it.. if you have a full group of 8 that can each call in a helicopter? you could basically have one coming in for like 5 minutes of constant cover... which makes no sence.. I think it makes sence to have a shared cool down ^^ artillery shells take time to refill afterall Wink lol and the chopper needs to refuel.. or.. just send another one considering they all explode lol

True... Unless you give each seperate class its own terminal with unlockable skills based on exp but that would just be too much work and would still leave a balance issue.. I dunno s3r .. if it ain't broke dont fix it?

I don't think this is a good idea. Giving control means you gain the Field of Vision of that player giving your character a larger area of attack. Think of all players having each others vision.

The only time you gain control of other players is when they leave. The reason for that is a certain degree of realism and to encurage people not to go afk.

Plus its annoying to hit tab that many times! lol anyway this was mentioned in another post (bf control) but I figure I would add a twist to it and put it in the ideas thread.. what about giving the Scout the ability to ping the closest Weapons in his area (lets say 800-1000 range in total) yellow pings for secondary and maybe.. red pings for Primary weapons.. maybe if you max his recon skill or w/e (thinking of the beta v I played where both his 3rd and 4th skills had like 6 abilities in each) perhaps if that works...

I gave the Scout the ability to carry any weapon (although he might not be able to use it). Should make him a little better in terms of supplying the team with weapons.

Scout received a backpack which increases his max. number of slots to 10. 5 of them are suited to carry any weapon or item. The other 5 is normal inventory like anyone else has it.

Just a single sound set already eats up ~200kb of map space. Having a few more wouldn't do much except of adding another megabyte to the map.
I'd add a whole lot of stuff if everyone had a broadband connection..

carrying any weapon will be awesome for the scout, as if another player has to come to where he saw it, it kind of eliminates the point of the scout

I was just thinking, instead of deleteing the xxx has been promoted to yyy at the beginning when players load, you could just edit it so that sergeant Madigan says a randomated message every time someone loads, and different randomations for different ranks.
E.G:
Lower Ranks
Move out xxx yyy
Get going xxx yyy
We havent got all day get a move on xxx yyy

Mid Class

xxx yyy, Great to see you again
Roger that, move out xxx yyy
On the double xxx yyy, thets see what you got

General

I am honored to see you on the battlefield General yyy

good idea, but lol a bit cheap for the officers lol

he is only a sergeant after all, he would be lukcy to serve with a higher ranked officer at all and he would be a little more formal and grateful to serve with a major/colonel.
