Hamachi

A friend of mine had a brilliant idea. Since we both have 10 Mb broad band we decided to test if we could make a lan using hamachi, so that we could share files from our computers. It worked .
So you can not only use it to play games you can also use it so share files with mates. Just thought you might like to know...

now thats interesting... i read the hamachi homepage info too and it sounds very promising... i think i will test it and see what this program is able to do - and how good

ah...wait, wait... now how it works with that lan thing: you both are connected to the internet and not physically? and btw... does this have good dl/ul speeds?

Yes, we are connected only trough the hamachi server, and when I dled some movies from him I had a speed at around 500kb/s

thats a pretty good speed... so its about the maximum upload speed of the host, right? really not bad... yea

Well, I did once download a movie at 4.5 Mb/s, although that was using the program dc++. Now that is what I call fast.
