What ideas you guys have for the best 8 man team in dotd? (fog,hell)

I'll start with mine:

This is a legendary build that no one haz dared to try xD But just imagine 8 grenade launchers boom & self stimming instant reload A team!

JK heres the real thing:

Medic (heals, cures, stims)
Medic

Firebat (tanks)

Engineer (ammo, refill, nets, mana regens)

Demolitions (boomz)

Machine Gunner (support fire)

Advanced Marksmen (designate)(does sniper have flare?)

Assaultman (area damaging, slows boss)

I propose 2 medics so that engineer can suck from someone xD but in hell mode usually both medic can go dry from healing alone.
Only 1 machine gunner cos hunting for excessive ammo is basically impossible as in you'd have depleted before you can find more ammo. Besides, demolitions can napalm strike.
For hell mode a firebat can tank boss for like 5secs but since engineer can net it would be sufficient. Not enough get assultman to tank another 2 second.

i vote for 2mgs and one medic and engi in case. with good team work u can beat hell.
btw assa suck a bit on hell in my opinion, vanguard ops is much better for stun (gauss) slow (mono blade) and ofc flashbang granade:D and i f u wana play full house on hell dont forget to pick scout!! ull need alot of ammo/stuff

oh wait... sh*t i just mixed up VO's skills with AM. lol. Yeah the 8th unit should have been VO. Maybe can replace ADVMM with scout? since thats why i suggested ADVMM: to scout items

we have tried to do a full Roflman team, there was always an idiot who picks something else and says: "what? you were serious?"

having a team immune to infections and bleeding along with a few veterans who can remove broken bones, you can do a hell of a lot of damage over there!

i would try in this way for hell




combat style medic,

healing medic/vanguard ops,

machine gunner,

engineer,

scout,

flame thrower/assault man,

backup machinegunner/second firebat,

field technician/sniper/demolition/advmm.




black = important role
red = suggested
orange= low availability
brown = not recommended

why assaultman for hard instead of VO? (hard = hell right?)
And why both sniper and advmm tgt?

Lol I put hard and easy for as in pick this team and it will be harder and easy you can go through hell pretty easily.
And I put adv. marksmen and sniper together because sniper is for dmg and marksmen is for dmg/crowd control/stun and scouting. And having an assaultman with a field tech with marksmen can easily replace one mg for more dmg.

Say titan, i noticed your signature is a sniper. Any tips on how to play sniper well? I always end up dead in 5 mins

If you go solo in nightmare, put safety on to have your knife out. In hell, do what hmmm said. I don't recommend going solo on hell xD. And you should have at least one level of scope of course Smile.

for sniper, barricade yourself with claymore, this way, when zombies try to attack you, the claymore will blow up!! and you will see nyancats flying around you when you get blown to heaven too ^^

I suddenly realise the claymore in this game is aoe explosive type when it should be directional explosive. If u been in army infantry (or played metal gear solid) you'd know that a claymore can be button triggered like sactchel case and it explodes in a single direction like lina inverse's phoenix fire (dota ref).

Gameplay realism.
Having you to place them towards a certain direction would probably just be too bothersome in the midst of combat.
And it'd have meant more work for me, since the explosion would have to be scripted then.

hmm..? just make it to be set where you are facing would solve it? theres this faerie dragon in dota that does the same thing, as same with pudge's meat hook and keeper of the light's kamehameha. they're all directional.

also add an arrow on the claymore itself after planting to indicate direction of fire.

when you're pro enough to use a sniper to click on targets individually i don't see a problem with handling general directions xD

I just said a bunch of things that weren't what i was concerned with initially. I was just thinking a bomb that booms aoe when enemy come near = landmine instead of claymore xD
