or instead of 1 los have a gps beacon on every player that pings their position every minute on the mini map. would cut out the need for the -tl command and save time when running for your life. maybe a command you type in at the start to activate it -gps or something.

It would spam the minimap, especially during missions where stuff gets pinged. Also if it would ping all players' position every minute then you'd have to be real lucky to get a ping in the very moment where you need it and are unable to type -tl.

letting them wander off? s3rius would have to add an iron chain to the characters to actually keep people in a group. I a am bringing this topic up from the viewpoint of my being the leader trying to get people to follow me, cause right now I just type and ping like crazy. Which sorta works

Smile I find it works to just tell them if they get seperated and killed I will First revive them, Second Kill them again. and third Take their soul as just due. seems to keep people around me

i just have 1 or 2 other players i am friends with that split off in 1 direction i go in the other and we tell the rest to stay with beta. while we hunt for ammo + items + find all the civilians.

just before mission 2 we tour the entire map till were all high on ammo bomb supplies damage medic supplies the lot set up the explosives on a camping spot which is 4 ramps high ready for mission 3, then set up the bombs to capture mission 2 boss, activate mission 2, rush to complete it blow up boss.

then camp for 10 - 20 minutes at the base till the dogs become agressive. engineer nets and stuns the first dog, then after that the dogs all pretty much arrive at once so this calls for throwing smokes in a row, netting, stunning, from engineer, disabling shot from marksman any high powered explosive shots from riflemen etc, with heavy hitting support from machine gunners rapid fire and the engineers sentry, if our bullets cant stop a large mass of them coming the first set of bombs are used in 3 different area's to obviously not waste all in 1 big boom if i can spread the wealth Wink

mission 4 team up with colonel kill reaper which is easy enough (the 2nd time i fought it and told the team to prepare it died so fast none of us even saw it, we only knew because we heard harpies scream) at the fort, set up explosives on each ramp entrance, then 1 large body of explosives at the gate that needs to be unlocked, i use the baracades for the entrance just beyond that.
setup for any class:

rifleman = middle area support = just passing the ramps
medic = healing support from any lurkers or gargoyles cheap shotting
scout = middle area supprt (no sense running around at such a dangerous stage
machine gunner = far/middle area support = top of the tower for far view
engineer = close/middle area support = using sentry refilling ammo
marksman = air/far area support = top of the tower for far view
Firebat = close area support = stand behind the baracades, toasting anything close range
demolitions = close area support = near the fire bat setting up extra bombs if they pass and to blow up the baracades to get out to start the next mission.

mission 5 the scout sets off using his kick ass stealth to grab the furthest soldiers away i get people to be set up in teams of 3 - 4 after that,

scout: grabs the furthest troops
team of 3: grabs the south east troops and south west and heads to team of 4
team of 4 (MUST HAVE DEMO): grabs the northern troops then heads to evac and rushes to meet up with scout and team of 3, then bunkers into the same 4 ramp camping spot to set up bombs , whilst team of 3 and scout find ammo and any new spawning weapons ready for ???.

??? (because i cant say what this is)
by now you have decent set up, you all know your rolls have the right item set up to do your job here is the rolls

same bomb set up as mission 3 for the dogs same smoke grenade set up

firebat: will have max armor aura + will be wearing the best armor out of everybody to tank if needed (will also be the sacrifice if its apparant theres too many at once)
demo: will be setting up bombs inbetween the firebat and the team, but will also make the firebat sacrifice by using his *BIG BOMB* skill just behind the firebat taking everything with it.
marksman: your pretty much useless here except giving the concentration spell and disabling shot so you dont need the best damaging weapon
medic: provide all slow/medium shots (marksman sniper etc) with steroids for fast rate of fire
rifleman: blow everything up
machinegunner: wield the best weapon found rapidfire go go go
everybody else is the same thing you did for mission 3.

i have never killed all of those ???'s so i wouldnt know if it ends after that T_T

I can't help but wonder if that post should have been put in the walkthrough section. Btw, after the racoons enemies just keep spawning, just not as much as in the fifth mission.

sounds good schattenkrieger. your lucky if you can find the right team of people to do that, its hard finding dedicated players on the australian server to follow any sort of plan. most get anoyed at the time frame it takes. i hope your using the demos napalm ability too, its good for 'plugging' a door at the radar base for a while. ive found if you do this you use less bombs and have more for the racoon waves. What do u think about changing hot keys ?? example

i thinkin about change all hot keys for 'Q' 'W' 'E' (like on the pic) and in some chars 'R', now in some chars theres no 'Q' hotkey...it would be easier and faster to react. mayby its useless and s3r wouldnt do that only for me ^^
but i got BIG problem with 'R' hothey...i just cant use it. R in my version [PL] is for 'move' (Ruch in polish) and i cant change it. So now i cant use assman net ability, medic deagle and some more... i know theres program like AutoWarkey and some others but im too dumb to use it cos my eng sux hard :sad:

Dela, you can change your hotkeys easily:

1) Go to your Warcraft III folder and create a new text document and call it "CustomKeys.txt"
2) Open it and write:
Code:
[CmdMove]
Tip=|cffffcc00M|rove
Hotkey=M
3) Save it and close it.
4) Open Wc3 and go to Options. There you will find an option like "Allow custom hotkeys". Turn it on.
5) From now your hotkey for Move will be 'M'.

You can define the new hotkey by changing the letter in the "Hotkey"-line.
If you don't want 'M' then you might want to change the tooltip (as it would say "Move" in the game). That's what the "Tip"-line is for.

The |cffffcc00M|rove is the code for the tooltip:
|cffffcc00M|rove <-- Everything in between these two colored parts will be yellow in the game.
You can modify this however you want to ( like "Move (|cffffcc00T|r)" to let it show "Move (T)" )
Or if you want you could even write "|cffffcc00Move|r, you idiot!" to let it show "Move, you idiot!"

But all that is only optional..

I tried making it work so you could change the hotkeys of DotD's spells just for you, but I can't get it working for some reason..

Oh, PS:
It will change the keys for EVERY game as long as you have the text document in your folder. If you want the normal hotkeys then just go to your folder and change the name of the document. It will stop working then until you set the name back to "CustomKeys.txt".

nevermind ive completed all modes for beta 7
now im going to cause mayhem and set up domino effect bombs on normal mode to chase all the noobs across the map blowing them up, when it comes to TK'ing im the master :p
as soon as i found that m32 i accidently shot 2 guys with it
my second shot i flinched running from gargoyle and blew myself up with it
3rd shot saved 1 guy luckily (i closed my eyes)
4th shot set off a guys bombs killing 2 people
realised theyre gonna kill me so i used my last shot to kill the last 3 guys :p
then ran away from the zombies :3

also i vote for a tag mode or deathmatch mode, like nuke tag in NOTD 2

there is 2 trackers in the game which you drop if you die but if u have itll ping where the other players are every few seconds :p

I have an idea, even though I know not every one is a big fan of cut-scenes, after the radar tower maybe the group should escort White down to Kim and that would trigger a cut scene about going to the LZ's in the city and that would officially mark the beginning of that mission. Plus the last cut scene is the sewer way back on mission two, and thats only if you get the plant mission.

Yo it is my personal opinion that after playing alot with Ding and Nub i think we should add a roflman actual class. Like he throws rofl grenades that when they explode go rrrrrRRRooooooFFFFLLLLLLLL!!! or something. lol he has similiar abilitys to the rifleman but with a rofl twist.

um no offense dude, i can see how joking about a roflman in-game is funny but to suggest it as a real class? that's just stupid, explosives that result in words??? =/
