every kick without a reason makes you lose your admin for a week

using !swap makes you lose your admin for a week

using !ban without a reason and a replay makes you lose your admin permanently and gets you banned for a week

teamkilling is not allowed, only if every single player accepts it will be allowed, if one refuses and you do it, you lose your admin and get banned

spamming commands gets you to lose your admin permanently

no bitching/flaming to other people, we're offering a public service, if you don't want to, then get the fuck off my bot's games = admin revoked and banned

trying out commands for fun doesn't exist... it is trying out commands to lose your admin and get banned

forcing start is not allowed... let him do his job, use !start without forcing it... and stop being too lazy to whisper the bot to spoofcheck in private games
that's what i can think of.... i might add more in the future so i made it so you can remove your vote...

a "week" is 7 days.... when i think about it... nagging me about it will make it increase, reminding me once a day after the period is over is allowed.... more than that will make your punishment worse....

I accept all rules, I dont see why these rules weren't here before. !Swap is so useless anyhow.
If you want to control what difficulty it is just make a !priv game and voila problem solved. In public games people are stupid and choose hell sometimes so what?

May I suggest changes to two rules:

using !swap makes you lose your admin unless both players agree to the swap and you have a valid reason to do so (e.g. the game is full and you would have to kick someone to change slots).

teamkilling is not allowed, only if every single player accepts it or if the player in question is maliciously teamkilling to sabotage the game , it will be allowed, if one refuses and you do it, you lose your admin and get banned
The pink parts are the passages added by me. Pink ftw!

Oh, and I suggest to add the following:

The host of the bot (read: Mishotaki) reserves the right to kick/ban players according to his own sense of justice, even if the player's actions did not directly violate any of the above reasons.

Well, as I said, suggestions only.

the thing is: the only thing that the admins don't have acess to that they need is the game mode... wich can be talked about with the red player before the game begins... so why do people need to be red? any switching for a color is just plain stupid...

teamkilling is teamkillng... use !kick if you want the teamkilled out... it uses a "closest match" system.. so to kick me you could type "!kick mish" and it would kick me...
but then.... i better not find you kicking without a damned good reason...

As for kick/bans, nothing to add.

Swapping:

Pub: Sometimes its needed to be the one who controls red, if just for the kicking ability when someone is tking or whatever, you don't want a noob to control it.

Priv: Does it really matters to you misho? Someone wants blue, someone pink.

Spamming:
Uhm, not completely sure what its mean, what if i'm a fast typer? Razz

As for start force, should we start kicking those who are 2 lazy to spoofcheck?

As for the whole voting, i'm not completely following that either.
Its your bot, do whatever you want. But these rules just makes your life harder instead of easier, forcing you to waste time on monitoring and investigating why admin X did action Y and so on.
Just leave those you trust as admins, remove everyone else.
Saves you time and efforts. I'm sure we as the simple people will live trough it.

I agree with Mean on the swapping part.

If it was just difficulty choosing it's not that big of a matter. But Red also has control of the -kick command and I would not want that in the hands of a noob or asshole. Not only that but red is also identified as the colour of the "group" leader and for the same reasons I don't want a noob or asshole thinking he has full reign over what the team does and much prefer someone with experience to be red and lead.

Everything else I can agree with, but if you're not willing to accept the swap command compromise then I can say I'll live without your bot admin.

the swap: you got more power than red.... he should fear you... it's just that you answer to me after that... does it matter that he's noob that much?

i don't like seeing you filling my logs with !swap.... all over the place just because you want another color... smaller logfiles = easier to find stuff, especially for commands overuse...

spamming: typing fast doesn't matter.... but do you need to get the games every 3 seconds? ping everyone every 5 seconds? swap colors every 10 seconds?

start force: why not? at least tell them to get off their lazy butt and get someone else who will agree to the rules GIVEN BY THE BOT HIMSELF

if i would only give admin to the people i trust, then i would end up with a shitload of people begging me for admin "cuz they can't host themselves *puppy eyes*"
i find it easier to remove their admin for a strict reason instead of giving admin for a "loose" reason...

Misho you think it's that easy? Most people don't know who your bot's Admins are, why the hell should they fear you if they're Red? What makes them want to believe that you have more power then they do if you're bot admin and they are Red? Even if you say you're admin, they can just kick you before you kick them. So really there is a legit reason why we should be Red instead of some noob asshole.

If you want colour swapping to stop because it spams your bot, then that's fine. But if you're swapping for Red I see no problem with that and more so you're doing the right thing.

all seems fair really... I learnt my lesson when i was using the !open command. But with the !start force command i thought that was what was required for starting the game..

But then a few days ago i remembered you have to also whisper the bot !autostart X amount of players to automatically start weather admin are in the game or not...

Also if you need misho to look over something the new rules will allow him to search the logs much more quicker as he said...

If you decide to give the bot back to the clan i would recommend they are active on the forums... I have had numerous conversations with clan members that have not visited/read forum posts.

If i have done anything wrong with the !swap command then i apologise, but i have only used it for myself to be red which i dont really see as abuse..

overall i think mish is being kind to let us use his bot especially with all the abuse that has occured Very Happy ty mish! if you use the bot correctly you will be rewarded with being able to use it.. If not then you obviously will lose admin Apology or not.

P.S i think this new topic will help to clarify bot rules along with the other posts of how to use the bot And at the end of the day RULES ARE RULES and they are there for a reason.

I agree with Death on the use of swap to get to red. Im speaking from personal experience when i say that allowing someone who we dont know to be red only leads to bad things. Not always, mind you, but enough that i make sure i know who red is.

If you want to be strict about it, thats ok. I can understand you getting angry if people are swapping just because they want to be another color. However, switching to red in order to keep people from abusing its power should be an exception to your rule.

I'm a bit uncertain about the "only TK when every single player accepts" as I might use TK as a last resort to get rid of a TKer as I'm not sure if everyone can use the !kick command. But I'll follow any rule you set up when I use your bot (never used it yet, but someday I might Smile), since it's a service you provide so in my opinion you have every right to establish any rules you see fit, because... IT'S YOUR BOT! Very Happy
Of course, I think these rules are reasonable so I would have followed them anyway...
Please list all your rules in a post so everyone can easily check them, if you have done this already, nevermind my request. This way everyone who use the bot will know what he/she aren't allowed to do. And so they can't come and complain later with "but I didn't know that!"

For the rest of us, it's take it or leave it. Mishi is spending lots of time and energy on his bot and a good way for us to repay him would be to abide the rules.

thanks for the encouragement.... the !kick command is only available to the admins of the bot...
but the !votekick command is available to everyone... so you could fairly easily votekick someone that teamkilled and red would have quit/not do anything...

all those rules are common sense... you guys are just whining because you want more control in public games... wich you don't need since most of you are mostly using private games(most of the admins i mean)...

right now i am thinking of removing the reserved slots... as there is a lot of people being kicked out from clannies joining public games, it just don't seem that fair...

hm all in all easy but I use start force cause I don't need to know if there is a spoofer to be honest.. I know the people I'm playing with and in private games its not really an issue either.. I just do it to get started before the ping and check.

Both of which I find totally useless in Private and Public games. I just personally hate ping commands though.. this brings up a question though... is it using a banlist program or LC when it checks pings? because they give totally differant answers and only LC represents player lat.

Either way start force is the only one I have an issue with lol

come on... skipping the pings is like 10-15 seconds after the last person stopped downloading...

and the spoofchecks in public games is under 2 seconds after a person joined...

banlist uses a ping that can be blocked by firewalls... so it's useless 90% of the time... but the latency check works.... so my guess is that it's using something similar... i don't know wich....

and for not caring about spoofcheckers... would you like someone spoofing "omnieulogy" and teamkilling everyone he sees in every single game 10 games in a row... that would give you a good reputation wouldn't it? especially if he uses one of your codes to load a high xp....

To be honest with you Misho, I have been in more pub games then in priv games with your bot. Mostly because there isn't enough people to host a priv half the time. The rest of the time your bot is stupidly hard to catch, keeps going off to make pubbies and even when we call it back for a priv it goes off to make a pub so we get frustrated and just flood the pub game. Personally I don't like doing that but really I don't want to spend so much time whisping the !unhost command till your bot decides to slow down and give us enough time to get a priv going. As for the reserve slots most of the time people get kicked en masse by that because as stated above your bot just keeps making pubs and we get tired of trying to beat it to the chase for a priv game.

I still insist that you allow us to !swap for Red and I'm sure many people in the clan agree that, that should be an exception to your swap rule.
